One day Reyn decided to install Fred Beckhusen's DreamGrid, and name his new grid Bastion.
He rezzed his OAR which included the Monentes Jewelry store, and we began to build upon it and call it our own.
Until real life threw Reyn a bit of a curve ball, and he will have to put his grid into storage for a few months and when he does in a few days, I will miss him, his builds and the beautiful store he built for me.
I decided to look into DreamGrid and see if I could install it. This way I could still feel close even though he is away, Reyn offered his OAR and we continue until he comes home. We named the little grid, con·tin·u·um.
2007 was a year of wanting to make positive changes - I started an environmental awareness blog “Climate of Our Future.”
Having researched the Pacific gyre and seeing all the plastics accumulating on our ocean floor was devastating to me; to learn at that time it was twice the size of Texas.
In my research I discovered an Marine Biologist who has an incredible love for our oceans. Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, “J”. J was a frequent contributor to Climate of Our Future and allowed the use of any resources he had. He still does, thank you J. His philosophy The Blue Mind Rx: Our Waters Can Be Lifelong Medicine for All People. Is an important message that I wanted share virtually.
I began featuring his articles concerning our oceans health and discovered the mind-ocean connection which makes saving our ocean even more important to me.
Since I am unable to venture to the ocean, I realized I could immerse myself into virtual oceans and “feel” the neuro-water connection. Which I do. Our virtual ocean brings those same feelings of neuro-connectivity. I have been spending hours landscaping and immersing myself in the beauty of the ocean floor. We have set the water to [NB] Sparkling Depths which is soothing like real life water.
We will be working on a living blue ocean project at CurledSun cove. An immersive look into our ocean. Interactive - utilizing notes to explain the aquatic life and the mind ocean connection. LiveBlue inspires us to fully immerse ourselves into the love of our oceans. J's blue marble campaign reminds us of this. Rock stars, presidents, kids, scientists, artists, explorers, eco-celebrities, teachers, business leaders...even the Dalai Lama and the Pope have received blue marbles and gotten their Blue Mind on! We will be giving freely blue marbles virtually. I have also created LiveBlue and BlueMind chokers to give freely too, supporting the philosophy.
J just released a new book Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do (Book by Wallace J. Nichols) You can also become a Patreon of J's and help us share his vision.
Living blue…loving our oceans. Pure blue - living and breeding oceans should matter to all of us.

Last week I thought it would be fun to check out Lani Mall to see what's new. Vbinnia Radek has great rigged avatar characters available free. I contacted her to ask if she could rig a cute anime character I had found. She loves a good challenge and is looking at it to see if she can rig it for me.
She showed me a video about rigging and told me to give it a try. With Blender 2.81 I find it very easy to find the needed features and in no time had created this rig. I still have a ways to go yet there was error when I tried to Parent the rig, but I am getting there. Thank you Vbinnia for your tips. Who knows, I might soon one day have a rigged character that I created.
Update ;) I did it! This is fun but still so much to learn.
A born dancer, dancing up until my mid-twenties, until the MS began to take my balance and timing, for me I had to be there. I would not pass up seeing Ladies Night by Freda Frostbite.
Belle's Barn welcomed guests for their first performance of 2020, Ladies Night.
Phenomenal choreography, beautiful costumes and amazing detailed sets were presented to an awe-inspired crowd.
This show had my heart beating and the desire to dance again. I know I will be at every show they present.
Their next performance will be January 8th, 2020 at 2 PM -Kitely time. I highly suggest you come and see it for yourself. Freda and the Belles are truly magnificent.
Great choker to make your statement!

Wanting to start the New Year out spiritually connected, I ventured to Dot Matrix "Intersections" region to stop by the chapel. It is important to me that this year that the OpenSim community can heal. Start fresh and work towards common goals. Dot's chapel is the perfect place to reflect on this.
OpenSim has so many wonderful opportunities. The networking and connections we make are vital to our personal growth. The year to me is about spiritual growth. Seeing my friends prosper, creating new worlds excited to share all they have created is what makes living virtually so rewarding for me. Let's make this a year of creativity and growth.
Brad Paisley once wrote, "Today is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one."
Think about it, a clean slate to write whatever book for the New Year you can imagine. Don't limit yourselves, think on the Grand scale. Set your goals high and work to accomplish those goals. Try to learn something new each day. Just think what 365 days of learning something new would do for you, all the paths it leads you on, all the doors it opens.
I challenged myself a few years back, it seemed everyone and everything was against me. Instead of quitting I just found a quiet place in SL [yes it's possible] and focused on what it was about myself that I felt was lacking in my jewelry skills. For me it was experience creating-I needed more tools in my arsenal to really make a difference in my jewelry creating. I dove into tutorials first Blender, then Rhino, and all the Photoshop tutorials I could find. Each day I would spend just one or two hours a day studying. It took two years to really grasp what I am now capable of doing easily. The good news is that it does come to you just like learning anything new. If you come to a roadblock just don't ever give up, look for a different tutorial by another instructor. It makes a huge difference when you find tutorials you enjoy.
Then just imagine at the end of the year where you will be. Let's make it a great new year, working to enrich ourselves enriches those around us.
Please consider donating to MYMSSA Multiple Sclerosis Association of America. This organization really does help those with MS. I am one of many.
