...not really, they walked into the headquarters of a virtual publication. Let's keep the focus on the two avatars; it's the About [us] page. She has always been intelligent, spirited, passionate, stunning. He has always been muddy, but pock-marked from bad landings, and burnt by the light of 1,000 stars, preternaturally tall.
She is the new Publisher. He was the hack who wrote pointless letters. She wanted everyone to stay; he knew he would get fired. They look at each other.
She noted his boyish hair, his muddy kilt, his static poses attempting to look cool, and his use of punctuation and awkward, yet correct, sentences in conversation.
The original Sun offices, decorated for Halloween. Peering inside, we see Reyn trying to pull off debonair, while dressed in a Beerman costume (Freebie Mall), and Mari, laughing at the situations she gets into. Most importantly, we are seeing the First Dance.
For two years, Mari & Reyn worked together on first, an inworld edition of The Sun, then an online version, and finally, both versions. She didn't fire him. He didn't quit.
They developed a deep respect for each other. Here's a brief overview of what happened. One night, at an event, Reyn asked Mari to dance, she gracefully accepted. Then, when Reyn meant to say "Good night, lovely dance, thank you so much, cheers." he Freudianally said, "Never, ever stop dancing with me." Mari said okay.
They got married on several worlds and partnered in more. Their lands were combined into "the Brady Bunch sims", over a dozen sims, some of them spectacular, some of them Reyn's. JK Reyn, mostly. The Carnelian-Bastion Estate was formed.
...some time later, Mari wanted to see if she could bring her jewelry to life, she wanted to challenge herself; but Reyn knowing Mari as his does whisked her away to hit the Second Life waves for a surfing vacation. After playing in the waves for a couple of months, she focused on bringing her jewelry to Real Life, which she has.
Reyn built a world called Bastion where he and Mari can co-create and build a grid of their very own. They named it con·tin·u·um.
Fire, spirit, and passion balanced by mud and overthinking. (Mari loves everyone & Reyn will think about it.) Wishing you peace, balance, and finding your inner God here in the virtual worlds. the story continues...
